How Much Do Braces Cost?
At Discovery Children’s Dentistry & Orthodontics in Carlsbad, the cost of braces is based on the phase of treatment. Phase 1 treatment typically ranges from $3,500 to $5,500, while comprehensive or Phase 2 treatment typically ranges from $5,000 to $7,000.
Clear ceramic brackets are available for the upper teeth when requested and add $500 to the treatment fee.
Your final cost will depend on the correction needed and the expected length of care. After the orthodontic evaluation, we’ll explain the recommended treatment and provide a personalized estimate.
We accept most dental insurance plans and can file claims on your behalf. Before treatment begins, our team will review any applicable orthodontic benefits and explain the estimated amount you’ll be responsible for.
You can also review our accepted insurance and financing options, including OrthoBanc financing with 0% interest and payments as low as $119 per month for qualified patients. CareCredit and eligible HSA and FSA cards are also accepted.

Dr. Natalie Dang is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. She graduated Cum Laude from the UCLA School of Dentistry before completing her orthodontic specialty training and earning a Master of Science in Craniofacial Biology at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Dang listens to each patient’s concerns, explains the available options, and develops a treatment plan based on their individual orthodontic needs.
