About Discovery Children’s Dentistry & Orthodontics
Discovery Children’s Dentistry & Orthodontics is a pediatric dental and orthodontic practice serving families in Carlsbad and across North County San Diego. We provide pediatric dental care from infancy through age 21, with care available through age 25 for patients with special needs. Our orthodontic services are available for children, teens, and adults.
Our current Carlsbad location has served local families since 2008, when Dr. Sheikh established the practice and began building its reputation for warm, trusted pediatric dental care. When Dr. Afsoon Fazeli took ownership, she continued that commitment while guiding the practice into its next chapter.
Today, Dr. Fazeli leads our pediatric dental care, while Dr. Natalie Dang, our board-certified orthodontist, provides early orthodontic treatment, braces, and Invisalign. With both specialties in one familiar office, we can be your child’s dentist and your family’s orthodontist.

Two Specialists in One Familiar Office
Dr. Fazeli provides pediatric dental care, while Dr. Dang, a board-certified orthodontist, provides care for children and teens as well as orthodontic treatment for adults. Having both specialties in the same office makes it easier to coordinate care for the whole family.

Insurance and Payment Options
We accept most dental insurance plans, including Denti-Cal, also known as Medi-Cal Dental. Families can also explore our insurance and financing options or join our Membership Club if they don’t have dental insurance.

Our office includes child-friendly spaces, age-appropriate entertainment, and private or quiet rooms when needed. Parents are also welcome in the treatment rooms, so they can stay close and be part of their child’s visit.
